Rambam's Underground Hospital Takes Center Stage In World News


September 26, 2024 – With the continuation of tensions in the North of Israel and the instruction of Home Front Command, Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam) in Haifa, Israel has opened its Fortified Emergency Underground Hospital, which has received vast media attention from all over the world with the opening of its Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital.

Rambam's historic opening of its Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital has captured the attention of major media outlets like CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and the New York Times. The hospital's pioneering initiative includes the transfer of hundreds of its own patients underground, receiving NICU babies and other patients from regional hospitals, performing complex surgeries in fortified facilities, and providing safe daycare for staff children.
